Cedar has one full-time school counselor, Ms. Williams.  She plans students' daily class schedules based on what academic and elective needs are required for graduation for each year.  Her office is located in the Clinical Suite.

It is important to note that not all of the FCPS Course Catalog is offered at Cedar Lane.  Cedar Lane offers courses leading to the Standard diploma.  Students, when ready, can take courses not available at Cedar Lane with their base school and even Academy class offerings.  Transportation to both base school and Academy classes is provided by FCPS, depending upon availability.
